sketchathon lo's...

so as you know, i was ready to do lots of sketches for the sketchathon over at scrapfriendzy....i got the card done and uploaded but when i went to upload the lo to the gallery it wouldn't load.  scott thought it's cuz the boys were all on the network ( scott describes this as 3 fat men trying to get thru a door at once.)  so i tried again the next day with no luck.   then i posted and someone said maybe my file is too big.  great.  one more fricken step.  so i try to resize...this would be another reason as to why i don't make a habit out of submitting, cuz they want a certain size file.  the only way i know how to resize is to flip it from picasa to picnik.  which i did and it took forever so i gave up.  now i have done sketchathon for the last 2 years and have done the same thing with my lo's, so why can't get my lo's to upload this year?  this has frustrated me to no end.   so i quit.  in fact i haven't scrapped anything since this lo all week.

but i did get 2 valentine's day cards done for the shelter.  i don't remember this being a real big seller last year so i don't think i need to make too many.  i might have some left over from last year.

and the lo is done with bits and pieces from studio calico kits.  the photos are from quinn's 13 birthday.  the title is the time he was born.

i hope you are having a fab week.  the weekend is right around the corner.

thanks for stopping by.

That valentine is awesome!!! I am probably going to CASE it. Love the idea of using the birth time as the title for a b-day page. Quinn is so cute!

The time of birth on the LO is a great addition! Love it! And the valentine's cards is also lovely, in special with the circles at the left.
You're a good seller for the shelter, aren't you! Good job, well done and hope you will raise much more money!

I too am frustrated by the extra steps on scrap friendzy too. It wasn't a problem and then all of a sudden it is. GGGRRRR. I don't have a lot of time to scrap much less add extra steps to uploading

Beautiful valentine;)

You will have to go check out my Facebook page. We have a new family member.

She was so abused yet she is gentle and trusting. Can you explain to me where you sell your shelter cards? The shelter I found her at needs donations badly so I thought I could do some cards since you have been so successful I could get some tips;)

Great shabby card and awesome layout!

That is frustrating to have problems with uploading; I always resize with Picasa to upload to SCS.

Beautiful valentine card, Chris. I really like the paper and your layout. The half paper doily heart looks great.

The v-day card is beautiful!...I love what you do with a doilie=). Quinn's birthday layout is very cool! I like that you used the time for the title.

That's weird? Did you ask Amy or Cheryl about it!?! What did they change? I've never changed the size of my layout before I upload over there. I would be frustrated too!! Gorgeous card and layout! I want to create! I miss it!!

Sorry the gallery gave you such a fit, cause I love to see your work. Ugh!! These are gorgeous. If you would be interested in emailing me your photo files for the sketch-a-thon, I can resize them in a couple clicks??? If you're interested let me know. Garden of Grace at Juno dot com. If you email me there, I'll send you my email that can receive larger files. I don't post that one on-line. And, leave me a message on my blog. I look at that more than my email these days - LOL! ~ Blessings
